Tanguar Haor in monsoon

Tanguar Haor is located in Sunamganj district of greater Sylhet. Spread over an area of about 100 sq km, Tanguar Haor is the second largest freshwater wetland in Bangladesh. To the locals, the haor is also known as ‘Noykuri Kandar Choykuri Beel’. After Sundarbans, it is the second Ramsar site (internationally important wetland) in Bangladesh.
